"A favorite among readers for her picture books and junior fiction revolving around the themes of nature, animals and cultural storytelling, Stafford is sure to inspire any audience."
The West Australian entertainment guide August 18-24 2007

"My class were kept very interested throughout the whole session with Liliana and Elina. The verbal feedback from class parents was also very positive over the last week. Many parents noted   that their child came home enthused and were eager to become an author or illustrator in the future!! Following the visit to the Literature Centre we have had a glorious week of storytelling and   story writing. Thanks for inspiring this enthusiasm."
Angela Drum, Teacher, Beaconsfield Pre-Primary.

"Thank you for a lovely morning. We feel lucky to have the Children's Literature Centre. The session with Liliana and Elina was age-appropriate for the pre-primaries, it was great for the children to become aware of the process of writing and illustrating with earlier drawings alongside the final work."
Lisa Moore ,Teacher, Beaconsfield Pre-Primary.
Liliana's author talks and workshops focus mainly on how to turn fact into fiction and encourage reading and storytelling for all ages. Liliana works with pictures, toys, material from the making of her books, drama and sometimes music to give her students insight into the creative process and provide a fun and interactive session.

Liliana will visit your school or library for a day or work with groups of students over a longer period to complete a writing and illustration project.

Liliana's books can be used to engage student's interest in the environment, different cultures, storytelling, and computer literacy. For Bookings please contact the Fremantle Children's Literature Centre

Some things to do to help create a successful visit:

·        Tell the students I'm coming and show them copies of my books.
·        If possible read one of my books to the class before the visit.
·        Encourage students to visit my website and prepare questions (this maximises our time together).
·        Allow enough time between sessions for me to have a drink of water, go to the loo and talk to those students who may have held back during the session but have a special question they may want to ask.
·        If it's a workshop make sure requested materials are available.
·        If kids want autographs please ask them to bring books and factor a few minutes in for that. Also let me know if you would like me to bring books for sale.
·        Appointing a couple of students as minders (school councillors) to show me the toilets and staff room and to help lug gear and prepare displays is very much appreciated.
·        Be prepared to have a good time.
