A spring in my step

by

I walk around Manning Lake with Mitzi and see how the recent rain has turned it into a paradise for ducks. The water spills over the path and between the paperbark trees and I count four sets of ducklings.

I love this place because it reminds me how amazing nature can be.  I look at the water and see hundreds of tadpoles growing bigger every day and the black swans are proud parents with their four cygnets. White flowers on the paperbark trees and reflections in the water make me stop and sit for a while.

I come here to walk, relax and think. Many of my stories and paintings started here and many decisions have been made under these trees. Nature never disappoints.  I go back to my studio to write and paint.00000003
